Creator rewards

You will earn creator rewards on your own posts. Creators rewards only apply to content you create. When importing content from X/Twitter or Farcaster, the original poster will earn creator rewards. If you are the original poster, then you will earn creator rewards on imported content.

Creator rewards are calculated based on your post score, relative to other posts whose reward period ends on the same day (epoch) as yours. Creators earn 60% of rewards allocated to each post. See below for post score calculations.

Liker rewards

Likers earn rewards for liking high quality posts. Each liker will earn a liker score on each post based on the following formula:

$$ score_{liker}=(246060-t) * likes * 10,000 $$

$t$ is the number of seconds that have elapsed since the rewards period for the post started. Early likers earn a higher reward bonus multiplier on their likes, for a higher liker score.

Post scores

Post scores are calculated as the sum of all liker scores for a post, squared:

$$ score_{post} =(\sum_{i=1}^{N}score_{liker})^2 $$

Example

1. Bob is the first liker on Post A, he adds 1000 likes
2. Frank adds an additional 1500 coins to Post A 12 hours later

In this example:

• Bob has a liker score of $(246060-0) * 1000 * 10,000= 864,000,000,000$
• Frank has a liker score of $(246060-(12 * 60 * 60)) * 1500 * 10,000 = 648,000,000,000$
• Post A has a total post score of $(864,000,000,000+648,000,000,000)^2 = 2.286144*10^{24}$
